Balor’s injury was a part of the story line.
It was rumoured earlier this week that the only reason Samoa Joe won the NXT Championship at a house show in Lowell, Massachusetts was because of an ankle injury that Finn Balor picked up during the match.
However, the latest reports since the show say that Balor’s injury was a part of the storyline of the match and the title change had been planned in advance. Rumours had also been going around that Balor left the house show in an ambulance. We now know that the ambulance rumour was unequivocally false.
A video taken after the show at Lowell clearly shows Balor walking, not hobbling, into the NXT bus. Balor later emerges from the bus amidst Balor Club chants to talk to fans at the scene telling them he’d see them on Monday.
Is might be a sign that Balor’s main roster debut is due on the next Monday
RAW or is Balor once again teasing fans, something he’s been doing on social media since Styles, Gallows and Anderson signed with WWE in January?
Adding fuel to the fire, Kevin Owens tweeted following Samoa Joe’s shocking victory over Balor, welcoming Balor to the main roster.
